As one of the last day’s of the 2 weeks worth of allocated English summer was glad to get some sun today for a stroll around Regent’s Park in London. Not only did we manage to take photos on a deckchair without having an attendant try and charge us, but also time for an ice cream and to listen to one of the many students playing Imagine on guitar. You can’t beat England in the summer.

Headed to the Sanctum Hotel in London’s Soho for a modelling shoot with James. We had a free run of the roof terrace area and a couple of rooms. Had a really great day out shooting, choosing images to put on the blog was difficult as there were loads

I don’t think there could be a more picturesque location for a wedding than this little church literally overlooking the sea, near Ancient Epidaurus in Greece. Shizuka was originally going to arrive by boat, but opted instead for being driven to the church in line with the Greek tradition of a cascade of honking car horns. I don’t think it made any difference, the well worn road on the way down to the church was single file only and we were so far out of town there was no-one to line the streets.

There were so many small details, from Shizuka’s family making Sushi from the night before, all the work that went into making hanging lanterns, flowers, dressing the tables. After the ceremony the night became a melting pot of Japanese beat juggling and traditional Greek folk music until the very early hours. It was beautiful, very personal and something that I feel really privileged to have witnessed.

A return to the beautiful South Farm for Katie & Jonathan’s wedding. Everyone was praying for the English summer to hold out just that little bit longer, but unfortunately, for the first time 2 years worth of weddings .. it rained.

Having said that I don’t think anyone would have changed a thing.

It was such a beautiful, touching ceremony with a couple so obviously totally in love, that I think hail, thunder, or anything else could have prevented it from being a perfect wedding day.
